Prescott Russell Recreational Trail is now open for partnerships, thanks to OTF funding

The Prescott Russell Recreational Trail (Trail) is now ready to take on more partners after the recent completion of its first ever partnership plan. The Trail, which has been run as an independent nonprofit corporation for less than two years, is looking forward to connecting with individuals and organisations in the communities it serves in the coming months.

“We’re very grateful for the OTF funding so we can get ready to better serve the communities along the Trail,” said Eric Collard, Executive Director for the Trail. “We’re now ready to partner with local businesses and organisations to bring some improvements and events to the Trail in 2024.”

Thanks to the recent substantial grant from the Ontario Trillium Fund, the Trail completed an extensive partnership plan, enhanced communications as well as made some much needed updates to the website.

Among the properties available for partnership, they include the Adopt A Kilometre program (for the bulk of the 72 km), the 6 pavilions along the Trail as well as the Trail naming rights. After launching some successful community programs and events in 2023, the Trail leadership is looking forward to bringing even more local tourism attractions to the region in 2024.
